Power Transformation Miracles Pendant

This pendant is dedicated to Harold Pendas who created and introduced this chant to us in November of 2014. We were planning a direct action for Art Basel in Miami with the family of Israel “Reefa” Hernandez and in the wake of Mike Brown and uprisings across the country. Israel “Reefa” was killed by police on August 6, 2013 for doing graffiti. As we sat in the Dream Defenders office on Biscayne and closed up the planning meeting Harold gathered us and asked us to repeat:

Since then the chant has been repeated thousands of times in Dream Defender spaces and beyond. The shield shape is also something that is very representative of who we are as an organization and how we got our name “defenders of dreams”.

This piece is a gold filled pendant with laser engraving on the back and it hangs on a gold filled water resistant 20” cuban link chain. The pendant was first processed as a 3D rendered digital file and then manufactured.
